Many politicians today talk about tort reform - what does this mean. Usually it means that the average person will lose valuable rights. Tell me why someone who is injured by a defective product, automobile someone's negligence should not be able to recovery money to compensate them for the loss. Tort reform simply means that people who negligently injure someone will have immunity while the injured party remains uncompensated. Do not vote for tort reform candidates.

Do you know if you have enough insurance? If you are injured in a car accident by someone else and they have insufficient insurance to pay the claim, you can collect additional amounts under your own car policy if you have the correct coverage. Many people do not have the coverage because it is optional and is rarely pushed by the agents or the insurance companies. This is important coverage - it is called "underinsurance coverage" and you should purchase at least $100,000/300,000. This will cover your loss if the person who injured you has insufficient coverage to pay the claim. Don't leave home without it.

No insurance company is your friend. Their goal is to resolve injury cases for the lowest possible sum. It is claimed that many lawsuits are frivolous - however, if you are injured through no fault of your own as a result of someone's else's negligence, why shouldn't you be entitled to compensation - whether your case is big or small. Injuries disrupt your life, limit your ability to work, or to enjoy the activities you enjoyed before the injury. You are entitled to be compensated. Know your rights.
